Matthew C. MacIsaac

Matthew C. MacIsaac obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Western Ontario. Mr. MacIsaac started his career at a prominent Hamilton-based insurance defence firm and continued his practice at one of Canada’s 10 Best Insurance Defence Firms until establishing MacIsaac Gow.

Fraser R. Gow

Fraser R. Gow obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Queen’s University and a dual Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. While at law school, he was awarded the course prize in Trial Advocacy for finishing first in his class. Mr. Gow started his career at one of Canada’s 10 Best Personal Injury Firms before moving to one of Canada’s 10 Best Insurance Defence Firms.

Alex Robart

Alex attended Brock University for his Bachelor degree in Philosophy and Political Science and his Master’s degree in Philosophy. He then attended Queens University for his Juris Doctor. Alex articled at a personal injury firm in Hamilton where he gained valuable experience in personal injury claims. He was called to the bar in 2021 and joined our team as an Associate in 2022. He has successfuly appeared before Judges at the Ontario Superior Court and Small Claims Court. He is passionate about making sure our clients receive the compensation they deserve while helping them navigate the legal process.

Mark McDonald

Mark obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University and his Juris Doctorates from the University of Windsor where he spent time volenteering with Community Legal Aid. He articled at MacIsaac Gow LLP ans as subsequently hired back as an associate. He is dedicated to being a strong advocate for our clients. Mark’s practive is built on hard work, patience, and a solid understanding of the challenges faced by out clients due to their injuries. He strives to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of service to achieve the best possible outcome by understanding the legal issues and our clients concerns. He has represented our clients at various levels of courts, including Ontario Superior Court, Small Claims Court, and various Tribunals. He enjoys travelling and considers himself a history buff. He is also an avid baseball and hockey player and viewer but enjoys any competition.

Cole Tysick

Cole graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Western Ontario in 2022, having previously earned a Bachelor of Forensic Science degree from Laurentian University. He completed his articling at MacIsaac Gow and was asked to join our team as an Associate after being called to the Bar in 2023. Cole is a driven advocate for our clients. His core value of his practice is dedication to delivering creative solutions and he is exceptional in guiding our clients through the legal process. He has experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court. When not serving clients, Cole enjoys travelling, sports, playing piano, and filmography.

Our Team

Justin Walter

Justin heads MacIsaac Gow’s Accident Benefits department. He joined our firm in 2019 after he graduated with honours from Trent University with a degree in History and continued his studies at Seneca College to become a Paralegal. Justin has extensive knowledge of the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule. He is responsible for ensuring our seriously injured clients get the benefits they deserve. Justin is dedicated to advocating for our clients to ensure they receive the necessary medical support and the maximum compensation throughout the course of their recovery. He is a strong voice when working with adjusters, lawyers and rehabilitation professionals. Justin is extremely organized and results driven. When he isn’t advocating for clients, he enjoys playing hockey and going camping. He often brings his golden retriever to the office to let everyone smother him with love.

Mary Pegoraro

Mary is a Law Clerk at MacIsaac Gow LLP. After graduating from Queen’s University in Political Science and Seneca’s Law Clerk program, she joined the MacIsaac Gow team in 2021. She has assisted our counsels with trials and other hearings. She is dedicated, empathetic and unwavering in her support of our clients. She fosters solid relationships with clients and ensures they feel our commitment to their case, every step of the way. She is always dedicated to understanding the legal landscape and our client’s needs.

Tanelia Campbell

Tanelia joined MacIsaac Gow LLP in 2019. She completed the Law Clerk program at Humber College in 2011. She plays an essential role at MacIsaac Gow LLP as our Intake Facilitator. She starts building the relationships with clients during the initial steps taken to efficiently start each client’s claim. Her excellent communication and listening skills enable her to work with clients to provide them with a comfortable intake process.

Alicia Burgess

Alicia is a Senior Litigation Law Clerk and runs our office. She has been with MacIsaac Gow LLP since 2017. She graduated with honours from Western University and Seneca College. She previously worked at insurance defense firms with Matthew and Fraser. She now works closely with Matthew and Fraser and supports them in all aspects of the firm and the litigation process. With her years of service in the legal field combined with her knowledge of the law, she is able to provide a wide range of assistance to our litigation group and lawyers. She enjoys creating an easy rapport between herself and our clients. She wants to make a positive impact in our client’s lives by making sure the legal process runs as smoothly as possible.

Fangxiu Lin

Fangxiu is a Law Clerk at MacIsaac Gow LLP. She completed her degree in Ocean Sciences at Dalhousie University. Afterward she completed her Legal Office Administration at Mohawk College. She completed her co-op placement at our firm and has been with the firm since 2019. Fangxiu is known for her strong organizational skills, document drafting abilities, and client communication, which contributes to the successful resolution of our client’s claims. She speaks English and Mandarin.

Sarah Fung

Sarah is a Senior Litigation Paralegal at MacIsaac Gow LLP. She has been with the firm since 2016 after starting her career in downtown Toronto at a boutique law firm in 2014. She graduated with honours from Toronto Metropolitan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology. She continued her studies at Sheridan College and graduated with a diploma in Paralegal Studies. Sarah is experienced an all manners of personal injury claims, including motor vehicle accidents, personal injury, and slip and fall claims. She is involved in each step of the process from initiation to settlement. Sarah is a focused advocate and represents our clients with compassion. She speaks English and Cantonese.

Ashley Kumar

Ashley is a Tort Litigation Paralegal at MacIsaac Gow LLP since 2022. She joined our firm for her paralegal co-op placement from Humber College. Ashley is an empathic person and wants to understand the details of our clients needs. She is dedicated to her work and ensures each client, and their family members are guided through the litigation process with compassion, respect, and empathy. She is an integral part of our team. She speaks English and Hindi.

Emily Li

Emily graduated from Humber College’s Law Clerk program. She joined the MacIsaac Gow team in 2022. She is our Intake Clerk. Her organizational skills, efficiency, and her eye for detail are essential to executing required tasks. She speaks English and Mandarin.

Harleen Brar

Harleen joined our team in 2022 as a Law Clerk; after she graduated in 2021 from the Law Clerk program at Humber College. She works diligently to ensure each claim moves forward in a timely manner. Her organizational skills ensure our clients, and their claims are getting the attention they deserve. Her focus is on representing the best interest of our clients. She always looks forward to speaking with clients to understand what they are going through and their unique problems. She speaks English and Punjabi.

Kailey Cannon

Kailey is our scheduling clerk. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor degree in Criminology and Law and Society. She joined the MacIsaac Gow team in 2023. She always wanted to pursue a career in the legal field. Her effective communication ensures claims are moving forward and are set on the best path to resolution.

Denise Roleda

Denise joined the MacIsaac Gow team in 2023 as a Law Clerk; after she graduated with honours from McMaster University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Seneca College in the Paralegal program. Her strong organizational skills, efficiency and eye for details were quickly realized and she was moved from a legal assistant into a law clerk role. She understands that the legal process can be overwhelming for some and is committed to helping our clients navigate it. She speaks English and Tagalog.

Florence Tang

Florence graduated with distinction from University of Toronto with degrees in Philosophy and Sociology. She has been a Legal Assistant on the MacIsaac Gow team since 2024. She is known for her attention to detail and dedication to our clients. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Mandarin, and Cantonese (conversational).

Tiffany Yau

Tiffany is our Executive Administative Assistant. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Criminology and Ethics, Society and Law from University of Toronto. She joined the MacIsaac Gow team in 2024 after completing the Paralegal program at Humber College. She is a valuable team member who always goes above and beyond to ensure the best possible experience for our clients. She speaks English and Cantonese.
